FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to pre-register for a class?

Yes.  Whether you wish to take an in-person or online class, you must pre-register. Our in-person classes are limited to 20 people. Walk-ins are not accepted. You must create a Punchpass account in order to register for classes. Please contact us if you have questions about how to create an account. Due to our limited space, if you sign up for an in-person class and cannot make it please cancel so someone else can have your spot. If you cancel within 4 hours of class, you will still be charged. If you wish to join via Zoom, please register a minimum of 30 minutes prior to class. If nobody is registered within 30 minutes of class time, the class will not be taught via zoom or recorded.

How do I purchase a pass?

Passes are available for purchase online only through our website.  You must have an active pass to register for a class. If you’re unable to pay by credit card, please contact us

How early should I arrive to class?

What should I wear to yoga?

What should I bring to yoga?

Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the start time of class. Please bring minimal personal items into the studio with you. Classes will be begin on time and the door will be locked once class is in session. Out of respect for all students who registered and paid for class, saving spaces for others is not permitted. You must be present to get a spot.

Our Studio Intro Pass is intended for people who have never been to The Barefoot Haven to try the different instructors and classes that we offer.  It is for WI residents only, is non-transferrable, and cannot be shared.  It is only good for our regularly scheduled weekly classes and cannot be used for workshops or special off-site classes, unless otherwise noted. No extensions, no exceptions!

It will depend on what type of class you are going to. If you are going to a vinyasa yoga class, you might sweat, so you would want to wear clothes that wick away sweat (similar to what you would wear to go running).  Baggy t-shirts are fine for guys, but women should wear a tight-fitting top so that when you are in an inversion (like Downward Dog), your top doesn't come down over your head.  Wear capri or full-length fitted pants; this will help your instructor check your alignment.

Please bring your own mat, towel, and water bottle. We have bolsters, blocks and blankets available for use during class.

Other things to expect...

Due to the nature of yoga and massage, we do not have a phone that rings at the studio.  Our phone is voicemail only.  The fastest way to reach us is to email us at thebarefoothaven@gmail.com.  We typically respond within a few hours.  Or please read our FAQ's to see if your question might be answered here.

Please silence all electronic devices.

Please keep voices low upon entering the studio out of respect for clients enjoying wellness sessions in the rooms adjacent to the studio.

Please refrain from wearing perfume or scents as fellow students may have sensitivities to smells.

Classes will begin on time, and the door will be locked once class begins.

It is best not to eat 2 hours prior to class.

Please plan to stay for savasana so as not to disrupt other students.  If you need to leave, please place your mat close to the door, let your instructor know at the beginning of class, and leave as quietly as possible!
